FBI thinks 'armed and dangerous’ New York murder suspect may be in NC

ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. — The FBI believes a man wanted for a murder in New York could be in North Carolina.

Officials said Jamaad Murphy was charged with second-degree murder in December 2019 for killing Matthew Napoleoni.

Police said Napoleoni was shot outside of a restaurant and sports bar in Willkill, New York in early November 2019.

Murphy is described as being 5 feet, 10 inches tall, about 180 pounds, with a tattoo on his left arm that reads “Rachel.”

Authorities said Murphy should be considered armed and dangerous.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of Murphy.
