HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — A fire in Huntersville caused significant damage to a family’s home overnight Friday.

The home was on Billingshurst Court off of Gilead Road.
Firefighters said two people inside the home escaped before crews got there.
The Red Cross is helping the family until they are back on their feet.
Firefighters are looking into the cause of the fire. They say it started on the rear porch of the home.
