CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Friends and family gathered in east Charlotte Saturday night to remember a man shot and killed outside the pawn shop where he worked.
Loved ones joined together near Monroe Road and Fugate Avenue in honor of Raymond Johnson III.

Officers said he was shot and killed Thursday night while inside his car.

Police are still searching for the shooter and released surveillance video from a nearby business that shows the moment Johnson’s car speeds out of the pawn shop parking lot in reverse before crashing into a power pole.

Detectives are looking for the person, or persons, in a white van that was shown racing away from the scene after the shots were fired.
