CHARLOTTE — A family told Channel 9 that they were getting ready for a birthday party on Sunday morning in southwest Charlotte when someone fired nearly three dozen shots into their apartment.
The three adults and six children in the apartment are OK, but the rounds that struck nearly every room left a lot of damage behind.
“I (got) up and I (started) looking around and I (saw) that door, right there, full of holes,” daughter Yelsi Palma said. “And that’s when I said someone shot in here.”
