‘A game changer’: Livingstone College launches new STEM initiatives

SALISBURY, N.C. — Livingstone College is taking extra steps to encourage students at the historically Black college to join STEM programs, including better resources and financial assistance that would help them in their educational journeys.

On Friday, the school unveiled its new state-of-the-art Shipman Science Annex facility that school leaders hope will help attract more Black students to the STEM program.

In addition, the school is offering a new grant-in-aid program that will pay for junior and senior year tuition for students who choose a STEM major.
