UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Firefighters contained a garage fire involving two burning vehicles at a home in the 1000 block of Monaco Court at 3:56 a.m. Friday.
Police were first to arrive at the scene and reported an active fire. Firefighters from the Stallings Fire Department, Wesley Chapel Fire Department and Bakers Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department Inc. in Union County responded and contained the flames to the garage, preventing extensive damage to the home’s interior.
Engine and Ladder 20 arrived shortly after police and found two vehicles on fire inside the garage. Firefighters quickly deployed a initial hose line and began extinguishing the flames.
As additional emergency units arrived, crews established a water supply and stretched a second hose line to bring the fire under control.
