CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Garth Brooks fans will have to wait a little longer to hear the thunder roll.
The country music star’s show scheduled for May 2 at Bank of America Stadium has been rescheduled to June 13, concert promoter Varnell Enterprises announced on Tuesday.
Tickets purchased for the original date will be honored.
"Like so many people right now, I just want to get back to what I do. Knowing these shows are eventually going to happen makes me happy," Brooks said in a post on his official Twitter account.
In December, when tickets went on sale for the original date, stadium officials said 74,000 tickets were sold in 90 minutes.
This will be the only North Carolina and South Carolina stop on Brooks’ “The Stadium Tour.”
Other shows scheduled for Bank of America Stadium impacted by the coronavirus pandemic include Billy Joel, who is rescheduling his April concert to 2021, and the Rolling Stones, who postponed their summer tour.
