Shooting in west Charlotte leaves one man dead, another seriously hurt

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating a shooting in west Charlotte that left one man dead and another man seriously hurt Tuesday afternoon.

The shooting happened around 2 p.m. on West Boulevard near Watson Drive and Remount Road.

When officers arrived, they first found a man who had been shot in the left. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but he is expected to be OK.

Officers also found 23-year-old Tykari Brown with an apparent gunshot wound inside a car. Police and MEDIC performed CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have not said what led up to the shooting and no arrests have been made.
