Hornets land No. 2 pick in 2023 NBA Draft

CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte Hornets were one pick short of having the first overall selection in the 2023 NBA Draft.

The team got the second pick in Tuesday night’s lottery.

The picks are made using lottery balls drawn in a certain order.

The Hornets who were in the lottery after missing the playoffs this season had a 12.5% chance to get the first pick.

Victor Wembanyama, a 7-foot a seven-foot center from France, is considered by many to be the top player available.
