HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Huntersville Police Department is investigating after someone fired shots into a home in the 10900 block of Beatties Ford Road late Sunday night.
No injuries were reported in the shooting.
Police responded to the scene at around 10:57 p.m. Sunday.
Detectives said the suspect or suspects arrived in an unknown vehicle and fired multiple rounds into the house, causing property damage, before driving away.
Detectives from the Huntersville Police Criminal Investigations Bureau and officials from the State Bureau of Investigation’s Crime Scene Unit are conducting the investigation.
Investigators said they believe the shooting was an isolated incident and that there is no immediate threat to the community.
Authorities are urging nearby residents to check home security, doorbell or dashcam video systems for any footage captured during that timeframe. If anyone with video footage or information regarding this incident is being asked to called Huntersville Police Department at 704-464-5385 or submit an anonymous tip through North Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers at 704-896-7867.
This is at least the third shooting into an occupied dwelling investigation this year in Huntersville.
