ROCK HILL, S.C. — COVID-19 is keeping many students out of the classrooms and away from their friends and teammates. But there is a new push to create virtual connections and competitions.
Cory Sloan’s company, Mainstage Gaming Network, is launching a high school e-gaming league in January and eight area South Carolina high schools are on board.

“We’re on pace to have around 1,400 to 1,500 kids, which is just unbelievable,” he said.
