BURKE COUNTY, N.C. — An inmate’s death at the Burke County Jail is now under investigation by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.
Staff found that inmate unresponsive overnight.
The SBI says detention officers tried to revive them.
We checked, and this is the third death at the jail in the last year.
