STATESVILLE, N.C. — A church leader in Iredell County is accused of stealing almost $10,000.
In May, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Department said a Statesville church reached out to them after noticing some discrepancies in the cemetery fund.
Detectives say multiple checks had been written from the account to one of the account holders, Jamie Shore.
Officials say Shore ultimately used $9,700 for personal purchases.
She’s now charged with four counts of felony embezzlement.
