Verizon resolves issue that impacted voice services for customers in parts of the US

The nation's largest wireless carrier said the more than seven-hour interruption of service was resolved Wednesday night.

UNITED STATES — Some Verizon wireless customers in parts of the U.S. experienced an issue that impacted voice services on Saturday.

In a statement on Verizon’s website the company said:

“We are aware of an issue impacting voice services for wireless customers in some parts of the U.S. Our engineers are engaged and we are working quickly to identify and resolve the issue. We know how much people rely on Verizon and apologize for any inconvenience. We appreciate your patience.”

Around 7:30 p.m., the company said the issue had been resolved.
