CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — Cabarrus County Commissioner Larry Pittman is resigning.
His last day will be Sept. 30.
Pittman has served on the board since December 2024.
“It’s been an honor to work with Larry Pittman in a variety of areas, but to serve with him on this board has been a blessing,” Board Chair Laura Lindsey said in a news release. “Larry is one of the most principled men I’ve ever met, and being able to serve with him and learn from him is something that I will always treasure. He has shown me what it truly means to be a public servant.”
The board of commissioners will appoint someone else to serve the remainder of Pittman’s term, which ends in November 2028.
