FORT MILL, S.C. — Laurel College of Technology is expanding in Fort Mill after acquiring the former Praise the Lord, or PTL, building on Regent Parkway.
The property is a remnant of the Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker television ministry and will be renovated and expanded for career-focused training.
According to The Herald, the school plans to use the facility for programs including nursing, cardiovascular technology, electrical systems and HVAC.
Laurel already operates a Fort Mill campus offering practical nursing, cardiovascular technology and electrical systems training.
Classes at the new location are expected to begin after renovations are completed and required county permits are approved.
The institution said its Fort Mill programs are designed to prepare students for careers in health care and skilled trades.
