Law enforcement training to be held at south Charlotte apartments

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Law enforcement will be conducting training exercises over the next several days in the area of Fairview and Providence roads in south Charlotte.

The apartment buildings at the Carmel on Providence apartment complex is abandoned and will be demolished.

Multiple federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies will participate in several training scenarios which will involve marked and unmarked vehicles, a heavy uniformed/non-uniformed presence and loud noises.  The majority of the training will take place inside the abandoned apartment buildings and will run Wednesday through Friday between 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
