CHARLOTTE — Lidl is voluntarily recalling one lot of Gelatelli Coffee & Vanilla Gelato with Coffee Sauce & Cookie Pieces due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.
The recall involves 16-ounce containers distributed across 10 states.
The affected gelato was distributed to Lidl retail stores between July 19, 2026 and Oct. 15, 2026. The recall was initiated after routine lab testing detected Listeria monocytogenes in a product sample, though no illnesses have been reported to date.
The recalled product comes in a 16-fluid-ounce clear plastic container with a brown lid. Customers can identify the gelato by checking the bottom of the tub for UPC four 0564897 22458, lot number 085261, and a best-by date of MAR/26/2028.
Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, elderly individuals, and people with weakened immune systems.
Lidl US distributed the recalled gelato to retail store locations in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Ga., Md., N.J., N.Y., N.C., Pa., S.C. and Virginia.
Customers who purchased the product are advised to discard it immediately or return it to any Lidl store for a full refund without needing a receipt.
Customers with questions regarding the recall can contact the Lidl US Customer Care Hotline at 844-747-5435, available Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
