Lincolnton man wins $100,000 from Gastonia scratch-off ticket

RALEIGH — A Lincolnton man won a $100,000 prize after purchasing a $50 scratch-off ticket at a store on Bessemer City Road in Gastonia, N.C. Education Lottery officials announced.

Rodney Sisk bought the winning $8 Million Money Maker ticket on a Sunday at Kingsway in Gastonia. He claimed his prize at lottery headquarters on Monday.

After state and federal tax withholdings, Sisk took home $72,024.

The $8 Million Money Maker game debuted in December 2024 with five $8 million top prizes and 10 $100,000 prizes. One $8 million prize and one $100,000 prize remain to be claimed.
