Lincoln County Sheriff (WSOC)

DENVER, N.C. — A man in Lincoln County is accused of lighting his girlfriend’s house on fire while people were inside.

The sheriff’s office says the fire happened around 2 a.m. Monday in Denver.

The woman who lived there told deputies she’d had a fight with her boyfriend, then heard a loud noise outside and saw flames.

Officers say they found a gas can cap on Martavious Isabell.

He’s now charged with attempted murder.
