CHARLOTTE — A man died after he was hit by a car early Sunday in west Charlotte, police said.
Officers responded to the scene around 12:30 a.m. on Queen City Drive. Once they got there, police found 27-year-old Cody Killian lying in the road.
MEDIC pronounced him dead at the scene.
Officers said the driver who hit Killian stayed at the scene. Police said that driver was heading north when she saw Killian lying in the road. She tried to avoid him but couldn’t and ended up hitting him, according to authorities.
Police said they think Killian may have been impaired and toxicology test results are pending.
No other details have been released.
