MATTHEWS, N.C. — A major intersection in Matthews will be closed indefinitely due to the extent of damage caused by a broken water main Friday afternoon, police said.
The intersection at East John and Trade streets will be closed until repairs are completed.
Plan on an alternate route and allow more time for travel Friday, police say.
