CHARLOTTE — Hundreds of gun locks are now in the community thanks to a new initiative by Mecklenburg County Public Health.
The county says 900 gun lockboxes have been handed out by Public Health’s Office of Violence Prevention.
Free lockboxes can be picked up at 10 locations around the county, including the Valerie Woodard Community Resource Center, A Brighter Day Outreach and the Davidson Police Department.
