CMPD: Homicide under investigation in west Charlotte

CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide in west Charlotte on Wednesday.

It happened just after 6:15 p.m. on the 5700 block of Leake Street.

According to MEDIC, two people were taken to area hospitals with life-threatening injuries.

At least one of those people eventually died, according to CMPD.

However, no additional details have been made available.
