CONCORD, N.C. — Sisters Karl McBride and Minnesota Lynx player Kayla McBride have opened 1122 Coffee at 25 Barbrick Ave SW in Concord.
The co-owners designed the coffee shop to feel like an extension of their home.
The business name originates from the address of the sisters’ childhood home in Erie, PA. The shop features menu options made with locally roasted coffee, house-made syrups, and North Carolina ingredients.
The menu offers cappuccinos, espresso drinks, and lattes, including a signature blueberry-vanilla 1122 Latte topped with blueberry cold foam. The business also serves strawberry matcha.
The coffee shop is open Monday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The business is closed on Tuesdays.
