She says she hired Global Trans Van Lines and signed a contract.
They picked up her belongings on May 28.
As for delivery, it says within a “reasonable” time. It says, generally, up to 21 days, but guaranteed within 30 business weekdays, allowing for things, such as inclement weather and road conditions. That would have been the end of June.
Instead, Delaney says part of her delivery arrived July 2, more showed up July 23, and that she was still missing about 15 boxes this week, including some of her most sentimental belongings.
“There were things from my childhood that were in a tote, things my mother had saved for me just to go through as an adult, and they’re gone,” she said.
She started a Facebook group, Global Trans Van Victims, which says it has more than 60 members.
The North Carolina Attorney General’s office says they received 10 complaints against the movers.
Action 9 called and emailed the business for both the initial news report and this follow-up report, but didn’t hear back in time for either.
