Moringa leaf powder recalled for potential salmonella contamination

CHARLOTTE — Foods Alive is recalling some moringa leaf powders due to possible salmonella contamination.

The recall was for the 8-ounce packages of organic moringa leaf powder with a freshest date of 110127 and the number 02726 below the date. The affected product was shipped between Jan. 27 and Aug. 7, 2026.

The powder was sold at retailers nationwide and online at foodsalive.com.

No illnesses have been reported.

The company said it suspended production of the product while the Food and Drug Administration investigates.

Anyone with the affected product is asked to stop using it immediately and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
