MOORESVILLE, N.C. — The parents of a 4-year-old killed in a crash told Eyewitness News they are devastated by their child’s untimely death.
She was one of three children hurt in an accident near Mooresville. Now, the woman driving could face charges.
Four-year-old Skylar Call's parents say smiles in pictures capture how full of life she was.

“She was my little angel,” said Steven Call, her father.
“She was very special,” said Debra Lamp, her mother.
Lamp said she was praying for a miracle, but on Thursday she had to say goodbye to her little girl.
“It’s a very devastating situation. I couldn't wish it on my worst enemy,” Lamp said.
Police and family said that Skylar, her older sister Alexis and 6-year-old Kaden Toupin were in the car that crashed and that Kaden’s mother, Danielle Toupin, who is engaged to Call, was driving.

“She’s blaming herself. It isn’t her fault -- accidents happen every day,” Call said.
Police said that the children should have been in booster seats but were not.
Lamp said she has many questions about how and why the accident happened.
Call said he left for work that morning, forgetting that the seats were in his car. He said Toupin was taking the children to enroll them in a new school. They just moved and didn’t want to wait another day because they were traveling back and forth to take them to school in Morrisville, he said.
Police are still investigating the crash.
Call said he does not think Toupin should face any charges.
In the meantime, both parents are holding onto memories of their daughter and the last moments they had.
“She said ‘I want to do my ABCs.’ So we sat and did her ABCs and she was so close,” Call said.
“I did get that chance to hold my baby, talk to her, let her know everything was going to be OK and that she was an angel with Jesus now,” Lamp said.
Lamp said Alexis has been released from the hospital.
Call said Toupin and her son are still at the hospital recovering but should be OK.
He said Toupin had a history of seizures and believes that caused the crash. Police have not confirmed that.
The district attorney said no charges have been filed yet.
