LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. — A major manufacturer with headquarters in the Charlotte region is expanding.
Continental Tire the Americas LLC announced Tuesday its plans to expand its American headquarters, which is located at 1830 MacMillan Park Drive in Lancaster County. The expansion will include a new 88,000-square-foot building at the headquarters campus, which serves as the base of Continental’s North, Central and South American operations.
The announcement unveils the company that is behind the project previously known under the codename “Project Dumpling” in county documents. On Monday, Lancaster County Council held the third reading and a public hearing for incentives for the Continental project. It calls for 200 new jobs and $20 million in investment. The value of the county incentives is unclear.
