CORNELIUS, N.C. — The Waterman has snapped up a prime space in Cornelius.
The neighborhood seafood concept has signed a lease for its second restaurant. It has taken a 4,160-foot-space — previously home to Cowboy restaurant. It will be located at 9615 Bailey Road, making it neighbors with 131 Main.
The goal is for that restaurant to open later this year, says co-owner Paul Manley. The timing will depend on renovations to convert the patio into indoor-outdoor space.
“I love that market up there. It’s definitely an area we’ve had our eye on for a while,” he says. “We just think it’s a natural fit for us.”
