CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — The new district attorney for Burke, Caldwell, and Catawba counties faces a backlog of dozens of murder cases as he steps into the role.
According to the Catawba County Jail website, more than two dozen murder suspects are waiting for their day in court.
