CHARLOTTE — North Carolina grocery chain Lowes Foods is expanding in the Charlotte market yet again.
Winston-Salem-based Lowes Foods filed a sketch plan review with the city of Charlotte on Aug. 10 related to the planned renovation of an existing Burlington store at 4726 South Blvd. That 48,000-square-foot space at Woodlawn Marketplace would become a Lowes Foods grocery store. The project also includes the addition of a drive-thru on the existing building and parking lot improvements.
It will be Lowes Foods’ ninth grocery store in the Charlotte region.
