New Oktoberfest celebration coming to Uptown

CHARLOTTE — The producers of the annual Taste of Charlotte food festival have announced plans for a fall festival.

Mecklenburg Oktoberfest will be held at Truist Field in Uptown Charlotte on Oct. 7.

The event kicks off at 11 a.m. and will feature a mix of entertainment, local craft beer and food, shopping, live music, and family activities.

Other highlights include the Charlotte Knights pumpkin patch, a Biergarten, a best brat contest, and the Bauernmarkt farmer’s market.

Admission is free. Food and drinks can be purchased with festival coins, which are available on the Taste of Charlotte app or at coin booths inside Truist Field. If you have leftover coins from Taste of Charlotte, those can be used as well.
