New report highlights COVID-19 trends across Union County Schools

UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and several other school districts returned to full-remote learning on Monday.

At the same time, other school districts are still trying to juggle how to to deal with in-person learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said schools are not a source for COVID-19 hot spots, but there are only two schools within Union County that have not reported any cases. They are both elementary schools.

Cuthbertson High School and Middle School are right next to each other, and district data shows that between both of them, they account for the most active cases currently in Union County.
