CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — There is a new website to help homeowners looking to cash in on the 2012 Democratic National Convention.
DNCrental.com matches people renting out their homes with people who do not want to sleep in a hotel for the DNC.
The two friends who set up the site said the idea started when they wanted to make some money off of their own homes.
“We started it as a fun project for ourselves, but we figured there would be other people in the Charlotte metro who could use a similar service,” said Brendon Urban, one of the creators of the site.
The website has been online for three weeks and there are already 11 properties listed.
