The South Carolina Department of Public Health says a confirmed case of tuberculosis is connected to an exposure at Hartsville High School.

Last year, South Carolina health officials identified the exposure.

The identified case had a connection with Hartsville High during the 2024-2025 school term.

Since the germ can stay active for months or years before people show symptoms, officials are urging anyone who was an employee or student in the Spring of 2025 to be tested.
