Pair arrested, charged in Gastonia man’s Memorial Day shooting death

GASTONIA, N.C. — Two men have been arrested in connection with a Memorial Day homicide in Gaston County.

Gastonia Police announced Tuesday that Joshua Cabe Wiley, 39 and Lewis Christopher Detter, 51, both of Lincolnton, have been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 37-year-old Alan Dale Johnson, of Gastonia.

Detectives said Johnson was found dead Monday in a car that was parked in an empty lot along E. Ozark Avenue in Gastonia.

Further details about the crime have not been released.
