Panthers, Charlotte FC to host annual Tree Lighting Festival

CHARLOTTE — Ready, set, glow! The Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC are kicking off the holiday season with their annual Tree Lighting Festival on Nov. 22.

The festival will be held at the corner of Mint Street and Graham Street outside of Bank of America Stadium and will begin at 5 p.m.

The event is free, but tickets are required to attend and are available here.

This year’s festival will include family-friendly activities culminating with a new twist on the traditional tree lighting moment.

There will be stations set up for making fleece blankets with the TopCats and holiday cards for patients at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital.

There will also be free hot cocoa, with additional food and drinks available for purchase.

Special guests include the TopCats, Sir Purr, Sir Minty and Santa.

No alcohol is permitted at the festival and parking is available at various independent lots and garages in the area.

The NFL Clear Bag Policy will be in place during the event. Transparent, plastic, vinyl or PVC bags smaller than 12″ x 6″ x 12″ will be allowed after inspection.
