CHARLOTTE — Police say one person died after being hit by a car near an intersection on Statesville Road late Thursday.
Channel 9 went to the scene on Statesville Road near Lake Road and found the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department blocking the road during the investigation.
MEDIC confirmed that one person was hit by a vehicle and died from their injuries. The victim hasn’t been identified yet.
We’re asking police if the driver who hit the victim will be charged.
