NORTH CAROLINA — North Carolinians are mourning the death of a state Senator.
Family members of Sen. Ed Jones said the 62-year-old died on Friday.
His death comes several months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Before joining the Senate in 2007, Jones served two years in the House and also worked for three decades as a state Trooper.
