Police arrest man accused of robbing, handcuffing man in hotel

MONROE, N.C. — Monroe police arrested a man accused of handcuffing someone and leaving him in a motel bathtub.

Officers arrested Jonathan Barrino on robbery and conspiracy charges Thursday.

Police said he and other men burst into a hotel room at the Relax Inn on Highway 74 and beat the man inside.

Detectives say the men robbed and handcuffed the victim while they ransacked the room.
