CHARLOTTE — One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after they were hit by a vehicle in east Charlotte Wednesday morning, MEDIC said.
It happened just before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Central Avenue and North Sharon Amity Road.
At the scene, officers were seen taking pictures and collecting evidence around a damaged mini bike lying in the roadway.
Channel 9 did not see the vehicle that may have been involved at the scene.
Several lane closures at the intersection disrupted traffic as officers investigated.

Channel 9 is asking for more information about what led up to the crash and if police have identified the driver involved.
