Police: Man found shot to death outside downtown Gastonia

GASTONIA, N.C. — A shooting just outside downtown Gastonia left one man dead Saturday night.

It happened just before midnight on Fairview Drive, near the Daimler plant off of Interstate 85.

Police said the victim, 28-year-old Devonte Hall, died after he was shot several times.

Authorities have not said what led up to the shooting and no arrests have been made.

No other information has been released.
