Suspect accused of killing man found shot to death in York County yard turns self in

ROCK HILL, S.C. — A suspect accused of killing a man in Rock Hill last Friday has turned himself in, according to investigators.

Officials said Montrece Kennedy, 26, will be charged with the murder of Robert Lee Dockery Jr.

Dockery, 39, was shot just after 8:30 p.m. on Calhoun Street.

Police said they got a call about a shooting victim in the area of Calhoun Street. When they got to the scene, they found Dockery with a gunshot wound in a yard.

He died at the scene.

Authorities have not said what led up to the shooting.
