CORNELIUS, N.C. — Officials with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools told Channel 9 that they found an unloaded gun at Hough High School Thursday.
The principal sent out a message to parents saying that after dismissal, students reported another student had a gun on campus.
It was found in the student's locker after school Thursday and the principal assured parents that all staff and students are safe.
The student who brought the gun will face disciplinary action, and the principal is asking parents to remind students that weapons are not allowed at school.
