Resurgence of textile industry could bring jobs to area

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — There has been a resurgence of textiles in the Carolinas.

The industry was strong in the 1970s when the Charlotte area employed nearly 300,000 textile workers, which appears to be making a comeback.
