Rolling Stones announce rescheduled tour date for Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Rolling Stones fans in the Carolinas were excited when the scoreboards at Bank of America Stadium flashed the British rock band’s famous lips as a tease for a tour announcement last spring. The band was scheduled to perform at the stadium last July but that date was postponed because of the pandemic.

Thursday morning fans finally got the news they’d been waiting for: The band’s “No Filter” tour will resume this fall, which includes a rescheduled date for the Charlotte show on Sept. 30.

“I’m so excited to get back on the stage again and want to thank everyone for their patience,” frontman Mick Jagger said in a statement. “See you soon!”

The show is the band’s only stop in the Carolinas. All previously purchased tickets will be honored on the new date. Tickets can also be purchased through Ticketmaster here.

Other acts set to perform at the stadium include Garth Brooks on Sept. 25, Billy Joel on April 23, 2022, Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe on June 28, 2022 and Elton John on Sept. 18, 2022.
