The Salty Donut cooks up plans for South End spot

CHARLOTTE — Miami’s Salty Donut is ready to crack into the Charlotte market.

The concept confirmed plans for a 2,305-square-foot store at Dimensional Place in September. Now, it’s hammered out a vision for that space with construction set to begin.

That 282,000-square-foot tower is near The RailYard and 200 East Bland. Dimensional Fund Advisors and Atlanta-based Cousins Properties own the property.

The small-batch, craft doughnut shop and coffee bar will front Camden Avenue. It is expected to open in early summer, says Danny Pizarro, chief marketing officer.

“We hope that our donuts are certainly the best you ever had. That’s the level of quality and standards we hold ourselves to,” Pizarro says.
