REIDSVILLE, N.C. — A North Carolina SBI agent was shot Saturday morning.
SBI was requested to assist the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office after a suspect shot two deputies in the 800 block of Walker Street in Reidsville.
While SBI was searching the area, agents determined the suspect moved into a crawl space under a house. While waiting to get more equipment to search the space, the suspect came out and began firing at the agents.
An SBI agent was hit in the leg and returned fire.
That agent was transported to Moses Cone Hospital, and there is no word on the agent’s condition.
The suspect was taken into custody.
The NC SBI stated that additional information will be released as it becomes available.
