HICKORY, N.C. — A new sidewalk is being built on a street considered unsafe for pedestrians and bicyclists.
The Hickory Daily Record says the sidewalk is going along 12th Avenue Northwest in Hickory.
The street will be closed between Old Lenoir Road Northwest and 6th Street Northwest.
The sidewalk should be ready in a week.
